Safety and quality are the foundation of an enterprise’s survival and the prerequisite for steady development. To enhance overall safety and quality management, Gemhorn Jewelry invited Zheng Xiquan, a senior expert lecturer from the Shenzhen Federation of Trade Unions, to conduct a team leader training session on August 12. Over 40 production supervisors and frontline managers from the Plain Gold Factory, K-Gold Factory, Inlay Factory, Gemhorn Fifth Factory, and Technical Development Center participated.
As a leading large-scale jewelry manufacturer in China, Gemhorn Jewelry places great emphasis on improving employees’ comprehensive capabilities. This marks the fifth consecutive year of internal training. To ensure relevance and effectiveness, the Gemhorn Training Center tailored the program around "Safety and Quality Management," a key focus area identified through in-depth research.
Zhou Peng, Director of the Gemhorn Training Center, Delivers Opening Remarks
In his speech, Zhou Peng, Director of the General Office and Training Center, explained the purpose and significance of the training. He encouraged participants to engage with enthusiasm, accumulate knowledge, and apply new methods and mindsets to enhance both personal growth and work efficiency.
Before the training, Zheng Xiquan randomly divided participants into four teams. Through brainstorming team names and slogans, the groups showcased unity and the dynamic spirit of Gemhorn’s young talents.
Zheng Xiquan analyzed well-known cases, delving into safety production, quality metrics, and standardized operations. He expanded the discussion to the customer-centric Kano Model, guiding trainees to consider product safety, reliability, and aesthetics for delivering high-quality jewelry.
In an interactive simulation, Zheng introduced practical methods like "Pointing and Calling" and "Drip Education," demonstrating how to integrate safety and quality management into daily workshop training for more efficient and standardized processes.
The Winning Team in the Q&A Competition
The training combined case studies, simulations, and team competitions, deepening participants’ understanding of safety and quality management. All expressed commitment to applying their learnings, ensuring "safety boosts efficiency, and craftsmanship builds quality."
