To optimize internal management and further improve production efficiency, the 2022 Gemhorn Jewelry Lean Production Skills Enhancement Training for Team Leaders and Grassroots Managers was successfully held at Lilang Jewelry Park on August 26, with strong support from the Shenzhen Federation of Trade Unions.
This training specially invited Mr. Zheng Xiquan, a senior lecturer appointed by the Shenzhen Federation of Trade Unions and an expert in quality management and standardization technology, to share his professional skills and research achievements in enterprise management with Gemhorn. More than 30 production supervisors and grassroots managers from various Gemhorn factories and the Technology Development Center gathered to engage in this feast of management thinking.
Zhou Peng, Director of Gemhorn's Training Center, Delivers an Address
Before the training began, Zhou Peng, Director of the General Manager's Office and Head of the Enterprise Training Center at Gemhorn Jewelry, first expressed heartfelt gratitude to the Shenzhen Federation of Trade Unions for bringing training to the enterprise and warmly welcomed Mr. Zheng.
He stated that this training marks the 4th consecutive year Gemhorn has invited senior experts in enterprise production management to provide professional skills training with the Federation's support, aiming to further improve on-site workshop management, continuously enhance product quality and production efficiency, reduce internal consumption and waste in operations, and further increase per capita output value while lowering labor and material costs. He emphasized that this year's training theme differs from previous years, focusing on enhancing team leaders' lean production management capabilities and equipment operation management skills. The company's annual training content is both continuous and targeted, hoping everyone can absorb new management knowledge and improve their management proficiency through continuous learning, making greater contributions to the enterprise's sustainable development.
Mr. Zheng is an expert in enterprise quality management and lean production, serving as a senior lecturer for lean consulting at multiple listed companies and private enterprises. Throughout the training, he provided an insightful analysis of lean production techniques and methods in enterprise management from four dimensions: lean management philosophy and practice, improvement of overall equipment efficiency, production line balance analysis and application, and reduction of on-site production waste. Using five lean principles—identifying waste, analyzing processes, accelerating flow, demand-driven pulling, and continuous improvement—he explained profound theories in simple terms the skills and methods of lean production in enterprise management.
Fierce Group Discussions
During the course, Mr. Zheng adopted a teaching model combining daily life and production cases with hand-drawn equipment diagrams, effectively stimulating participants' initiative and enthusiasm. This enabled them to directly and thoroughly understand equipment internal structures and functions, promptly identify operational issues, and formulate corresponding improvement standards. Meanwhile, by embedding problems into the curriculum and using group discussions, he quickly expanded participants' thinking, allowing them to master practical management methods and techniques imperceptibly.
Joyful Learning Atmosphere
The most popular segment was the group quiz competition with point accumulation. In this session, participants collaborated to solve actual production problems using classroom theories. Everyone actively shared insights and asked questions, creating a strong learning atmosphere of striving to excel and not falling behind.
